Scottish Highland Heavy Athletics

I have been actively competing as an Amateur A athlete in the Scottish Highland Heavy Athletics since the 2008 season. I consistently rank well within the Top 100 Amateurs registered in North America. I have competed as far north as Maine, as far south as Virginia, and as far west as Washington state. I contest all nine events: 16-lb open stone put, 22-lb Braemar stone put, 56-lb "heavy" weight for distance, 28-lb "light" weight for distance, 22-lb "heavy" hammer, 16-lb "light" hammer, caber toss, sheaf toss, and 56-lb weight for height.

Rhode Island Scottish Festival (RISF)

I have been actively serving as the Athletics Committee Chairperson of the RIScot Games since the 2014 season.

Olympic Track & Field

I competed on Indoor/Outdoor Olympic Track & Field teams as a high school junior and senior (2002-2003) and throughout my undergraduate career (2003-2007). I eventually earned All New England DIII Honors (2007) in the hammer throw. I also competed for a short while after graduating (2007-2009) under the banner of the Twilight Throwers (Chelmsford, MA) club in the USATF New England region. Although I contested the shot put, discus, 35-lb weight throw, and hammer throw; I only ever considered myself a hammer thower.
